Numerous incidents are reported every year, and the subject of the Paranormal has been studied and scrutinized scientifically for eons. There are numerous questions and a lot of what you are exposed to is mere speculation and uneducated opinion.

Most people are unaware of the collective knowledge available through the Paranormal Professionals, and the large amounts of information gathered as well as published on this subject.
Paranormal Investigators have become more abundant throughout the world within the last 20 years, most are unwilling to research into the history as well as the background of a location or object, which is necessary to complete a thorough job.
Paranormal Investigators share a general consensus that ghosts / spirits are here of their own free will, and for numerous reasons of their own accord. We are not sure if they maintain themselves on our plane of reality.

If you are convinced there is a ghost / spirit present, start documenting the events. In documenting, you need to gather as much factual information i.e. time, location of disturbance, personal feelings etcetera, as well as any personal observations about the occurrence, the surroundings, and whatever is happening at the location. In recording the data you can begin to look for cycles or repetition in certain actions that occur when the event happens.
Spirits, generally are harmless to people, usually a person gets hurt out of fear. If you wish a ghost to stop interacting with you, try speaking to it in a mild, yet firm tone asking for the occurrences to cease.
