Releasing Entities
and/or Clearings
No proof substantiates,
that the use any or all of the following consistently help in any clearing:
-
1. Clearings
-
2. Chants
-
3. Exorcisms
-
4. Prayers
Use of these may even
cause an increase in activity or make the problem worse.
Clearing Spirits is not an exact science, it may not prove effective, and
as well it may vary in the degree of success achieved.
Prior to contacting a professional you and or your family may find this
effective (remember Spirits are people too).
-
1. Stand together as a
group and in a firm but respectful voice advise the Spirit that it is no
longer welcome in your home. Tell the Spirit that it is no longer alive
and that it needs to move on. Do not demand a spirit leave. This causes
anger and hostility. This may also result in a backlash
effect. If the spirit is a negative spirit or a Playful spirit, try asking
it not to scare you.
-
2. Burning sage may help
with clearings. The term used for this is smudging which comes directly
from the Native Americans using sweet grass and burning it to assist in
spiritual matters. Proceed in a counter clock-wise motion inside of the
house starting at the front door; leave the door open so when the ritual
is complete the spirit may leave. Smudging, or ‘sweeping the smoke', is
a simple but powerful purification method, often used before ritual. Sage
is a traditional choice of herb to use is it is the strongest cleansing
herb. Break the tip of the leaves with your hands. With any prayers that
you feel appropriate, place it into a pot or shell. Burn the herbs until
they give off clouds of smoke. Remember that strong medicine is not always
pleasant. The negative energies that cling to you may try to convince you
that the smudging is offensive or noxious. Sweep the smoke from the smoldering
herbs with a medicine feather or your hand. If you use a smudge stick,
you can sweep the smoke by waving the stick itself. Bathe yourself, or
the person you are working with, in the purifying smoke. Smoke rises, so
start from the bottom of the body and work up to the head. When you reach
the top, flick the feather or your hand, dispersing any negative energies
that may have been dislodged from the person's aura. Make sure you smudge
the back and front of the person. Trust your intuition; you may feel that
their heart, hands or loins may benefit from extra smudging. In this way
can also purify and sanctify objects, animals and places. It is the interaction
between the herbs you choose, the particular feather you use, and the intent
within you that makes the ceremony special. (Sage, a powerful medicine,
is burned as a protection against malevolent energies. It is used to establish
a sacred boundary at the beginning of rituals and ceremonies. Sage is a
purifier, an element of smudging that has the power to draw away the negative
energies that afflict the aura, the body and the soul. It is also a powerful
herbal remedy, useful in treating a host of physical disorders.)

3. Holy Water may be used
in conjunction with the above listed. Holy Water is found at all Catholic
Churches and or book / gift shops. Holy Water is, water blessed by Catholic
priests in the name of The Holy Trinity. This also has been known in some
cases to upset the spirit and cause a increase in spirit activity.
-
4. Never think that you
can "force" a Spirit to leave a house. Talk to the Spirit as if it were
still alive. If it is an intelligent Spirit you may ask it to leave in
a polite but firm tone.
-
5. A residual haunting
reenacts traumas, such as a murder or a battle. It is similar to watching
a movie. The Spirits are not cognizant of you, and little can be done to
stop this type of haunting. Very similar to Retro-cognition which is a
continual replay of events (i.e. battle, war, murder, suicide, untimely
death etc.). This may be present as an image played repeatedly which coincides
with an actual event of the past. Some believe building materials used
in the structure possibly absorb the energy.
-
6. Haunting by a Spirit,
which interacts with family, refers to the occupation of homes by the spirits
of deceased people and animals who once lived there. Other possible haunted
sites can be places merely frequented or liked by the deceased. Another
common belief is that the area where violent death has occurred Spirits
of this type may be found. The haunting may include but is not limited
to apparitions, noises, smells, tactile sensations, extremes in temperature
as well as movement of objects moving shadows and dreams.
Poltergeist activity is usually a mischievous and sometimes malevolent
spirit, which manifests itself by making noises, moving objects, as well
as assaulting people and animals. Poltergeist comes from the German polten,
“to knock”, and geist, “spirit”. Some cases are unexplained and may involve
actual spirits. In other cases the phenomena seems to be caused by psychokinetic
energy (PKE).
The most common poltergeist
phenomena are:
-
1. The throwing and moving
of objects
-
2. Foul smells
-
3. Loud noises and shrieks
-
4. Turning lights and
electrical appliances on and off
-
5. Activity almost always
occurs at night typically when someone is present.
Reasons why you
could experience paranormal activity:
-
1. Have you recently remodeled?
(This may stir up dormant energy.)
-
2. Have you recently experienced
a stressful change in your life to stir up the activity?
-
3. Are you living on an
Ancient (Native American) sacred site or burial or former battleground
of some sort?
-
4. Is anyone in
your household entering puberty? If so, there may be a direct connection
to the extreme emotions involved in adolescence and paranormal (poltergeist)
activity.
-
5. Do electrical power
lines surround your home? This raises the electromagnetic energy and is
conducive to attracting orbs or paranormal activity.
-
6. A Full moon, new moon
or an increase in solar activity and/or Geomagnetic Fields also increase
haunting activity
About Exorcism:
If you are considering going to your church this may or may not help because
it isn't just your belief system but the negative energy's (Spirit's) belief
system that should be addressed. An exorcism may work on extremely rare
occasions.
